Technically, the CARIBBEAN also is found along the coast of Central America from Mexico down to Panama, except for El Salvador (Since el Salvador is only on the Pacific coast.) Even Venezuela and Colombia have a Caribbean coast. They are in SOUTH AMERICA. We normally call Central America "Central America" and refer to the Caribbean as those islands on the Caribbean Sea. Mexico is part of North America but they like to use that "Caribbean" word to describe Cozumel, Cancun as a sunny and warm destination, which it truly is. Other islands in the Caribbean but off countries of Central America are the ROATAN off of Honduras, SAN BLAS islands of Panama, Cozumel off of Mexico, Corn Islands off of Nicaragua. Aruba is just off the coast of Venezuela too.
