ZED Gurus I need help getting to HKG 4-13 or 4-14 from ATL

Hello you ZED Gurus, I would like to get to HKG this Friday or Saturday and can make it all the way to NRT but the one flight each day seems to be pretty full. There is one flight from DTW that goes directly to HKG on 4-12/4-13 but that is pretty full -and I would prefer biz elite flying that far.From NRT, PVG, or PEK I will fly coach, but what I am seeing are flights to multiple cities including TPE and when I search via interline there are no direct flights to HKG from TPE. I hope i am not too confusing and picky

very confusing. Are you going to TPE or HKG? If you transit anywhere in China besides HKG, you need visa.

If think you want to take DTW/NRT (nonstop DTW is coach only) You might make the cut on ATL--what's your status?
I see DTW/NRT 12th, then connect to HKG next day as best.
JFK to NRT is wide open.

We have zeds on Hong Kong Express but: We fly UO but not HX (unless codeshare w/UO).

Sorry for the confusion, I am going to Hong Kong through NRT, but that leg is oversold and I am at the bottom of the list. I will check whichbudget.com

NRT/HKG is good on 13th--what are you seeing? I see only buddies on 14th DTW/HKG.

NRT/HKG is the least of your problems--they are still selling and it's a major no-show.

I was considering leaving on the 14th because I did see that DTW/HKG, but the numbers are too low and I see someone jumped ahead of me already since you checked.

I think I may try leaving Friday 13th from ATL-JFK-NRT Saturday 14th NRT-HKG...I just love Biz Elite

But....I may leave as planed and take my chances with NRT/HKG and see if I can squeeze on in coach if there are no-shows...I got a couple of days to make up my mind, I'll keep watching...

FUN!!? It's brutal! I just love eating and sleeping and drinking wine and watching movies...all in the front!

DOn't forget you still have DTW/NRT on 14th also.
I see the 13th has only ONE active nonrev for DTW/NRT for 6 seats...
Be watching for yesterday and today and check for deadheads showing as PSUPs.
I made my Fla family take the JFK--lots of folks got upstairs (they got lower, but happy in BE)
Just one traveling?

At least I can keep an eye on some routes that have whole crews trying to get to work and try another route. I understand the process.

Yes just one traveling, I just love the 747s I flew upstairs a few times from JFK....and it rocks!

I may postpone the trip a day or two to see if it settles down and leave on Saturday.

Oh by the way I have a Chinese visa and plan to stay in either Shenzen or Guangzhou at least part of the time but can't find any direct ZED fares from NRT, PVG or PEK to any of those cities

LOL...I will be on the lookout for those PSUPs...bless their hearts

If you are going to Shenzen or Guangzhou try taking the coach from Hong Kong .. its about 3 hours, dead easy and dead cheap ( about 20 in USD I guess ) ... probably cheaper than the transfer from airport to the hotel !!
