Ahhh, the nuances of reading the loads *wink*
Take a crack at this one
Ten non-stops flights ORD/LAX
Every flight is showing RED, over by 5 -10
The non-rev list for the first 5 (nonstop) flights of the day are as follows
1 - 24 listed with 14 of those Through pax
2 - 12 listed with 6T
3 - 18 listed with 8T
4 - 09 listed with 5T
5- 14 listed with 8T
etc, etc, etc
All 1stops out of ORD looked grim and DFW is a mess
At AA, Through pax are boarded before “local” with same boarding priority and I’m “local”- originating at ORD.
Translation, the highest I’ll be on that first flight out would be #15
So, what do I do?
1- Read the writing on the wall, change my flight to the next day, or the day after that.
2- List for the first flight of the day anyway; who knows I may get lucky
3- List for later in the day. Going for that first flight is good in theory, but in practice you spend most of your day sitting on the edge of your seat and traipsing from gate to gate; later in the day means less traipsing and less time sitting in the non-rev lounge hoping my half frozen take home pizza doesn’t melt.
4- List for a connections - BNA or LAS maybe
5- Drive to nearby city (and became an ORD T pax ( yeah the plot does thicken)
Veteran non-revvers, what do you think I did??????![]()
