If you are not familiar with the disparity of systems, it's a rude awakening at CDG. They rely on written declarations by nonrevs and I don't doubt that people lie about their priority. I used an S2 and it showed as S3B after I got home!! My husband is active employee w/27 yrs. I still got on CVG flight BUT I could have been screwed by AF agents. Go with the expectation that they might just do that and deal with it. DL did not "charge" me for an S2. When I saw the S3B, I wrote to DL and made sure they reported the situation. I realize you can't do that since you made a huge fuss about it (that's a no no, even if AF was wrong). Just be prepared to have a possible issue.
