Just thought I'd provide an update for you all. We had zero problems both ways and got upgraded as well!

One thing I found kind of odd was being bussed out to the plane. In Canada we have bridges at almost all airports since it's so darn cold.

We cleared security with just our standby cards. I also didn't find the airport all that busy. So my suggestion for anyone traveling to FCO is book a zed fare with AC...apparently us Canucks aren't big fans of Italy! We also went on less busy days though ( Monday there and Wed back) so that likely helped matters quite a bit.

Thanks for your advice as always!

Good to hear another good nonrev story! Try CDG sometime--they bus you to a different region, it's that far!
I was supposed to join Boss tonight for his 48 hr in Pisa but count is pretty iffy with limited options if I can't get on at JFK (to get home or elsewhere...)

I don't know but it seems like they think I am the most interesting man in the world everytime I go to Rome. When in Rome, they do as I do!!! And when I pat them on their backs, they put that in their resume's.

nancyann: Glad to hear & thanks for the tip about (assume) Air Canada.
mrs76: You are spot on (as usual) about the CDG bus.
29palms: Now that is funny! Love those commercials.

Glad to hear your trip to Italy was a success. Americans love to go to Italia during the summer, basically any flight out of the US to Italy goes jam packed this time of the year. By the way I am a huge fan of AC, I have flown them a couple of times while in Canada and they are a great airline with very helpful employees.

    Regards,

    Chepos
