Hey Dan,
For certain carriers you use that site to list (UAL, DL, ETC ETC). I really wish we could move on to electronic zed fares soon.

I've noticed in this thread that no-one has mentioned any charges so I was curious to know if a service charge has to be paid when you book tickets and if one is paid is it refundable ??
each $66.00 ticket had $1.43 service charge (I bought OWs) plus the foreign exchange fee I mentioned ($1.34 each transaction) As soon as they do our refunds, I'll post what we get back.

Dan: It is untrue that US Airways staff necessarily must buy paper tickets when going ZED. Most US Airways ZED tickets are paper, but an increasing number are (is?) E tickets -- BA for example. Expect the pace of that to grow. Also, rumors from rumor central in PHX say we soon might have capability to buy ZED E tickets using Travel US. This retired US employee plumps for that. I would love being able to buy ZED tickets to London from my computer at home and not slog into the airport. Technology: l'aissez les bons temps rollez.
I finally called TG and asked about our refunds--agent said it can take 45 days to refund the ezeds. UGH

There is a fee that applies per coupon (currently ~ $1.50) which is fully refundable for wholly unused tickets. If a ticket is partially used, the fee is not refundable. This suggests that it is better to buy one coupon per ticket so that every ticket is either wholly used or wholly unused, never partially used. While this is not a fee that we've paid in the past, I'd be willing to pay it for the convenience of having a ticket issued from anywhere at any time.
While it ultimately depends on the carriers involved and how the tickets are issued, eZEDS can be interchangeble (i.e., from one airline to another, not from one city pair to another). Note that as paper tickets are phased out, and they will be due to the cost of managing the paper ticket process, there won't be a choice. But I think that's okay. One facility that we will have with eZEDS that we don't have with paper tickets today is the abiltiy to get a ticket issued anytime and anwhere. So if I don't get on the EK flight from DXB-BOM, I can get a new eticket issued for 9W within a matter of minutes. Today, I would have had to purchase paper tickets on EK & 9W, and probably other paper backups, because I know some airlines don't honor the VALID ZED CARRIERS endorsement.
