we have this philosphy:
If you don't like the weather, wait 20 minutes.
It's the Ohio Valley and Ohio River has this oxbow... Sometimes we get the 6' of snow and sometimes it hits Columbus or Louisville (less than 100 miles north/south)
We're in the path of lots of peripheral tornado stuff--just outside the main "alleys"--we get a rare touchdown now and then.
When the hurricanes hit south or north, we get the wash-off rains and the jet stream can be a really nasty bear and we can get some really really nasty stuff dropping down from the Great Lakes. Then there's that oxbow and the valley effect.
Right now--our trees still have leaves--mostly gold, yellow and plenty green (waaaaaay late TY) Few are red as usual by now. The lawn guys are still mowing and the grass is green.
Had flurries the other night and few days of 60+. No major frost yet. Yep--it's kinda weird here, too!
