Oh and to answer your other question...I am in IND and have Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays off.

I am wanting to fly JFK to CDG on the AF A-380 in a few weeks.

Speaking of which I meant to ask... has there ever been a nonrev.net get together / fly-in?[/b]

I've never heard of any get together, but it was great meeting Jumper and it would be nice to meet everyone here at some point.[/b]
There was one fly-in meeting. It was a Forum correspondents gathering in April 2000 in ATL. Nonrev Correspondent's gathering 4/29/00
BTW, I didn't attend the gathering in 2000, I was just a "puddle jumper".

When I went to SXM, I just went to the Sonesta with no reservation. I walked up to the front desk, asked if they had a room for 1 night, and showed my Comair ID and asked for the crew rate. They were happy to help me.

Of course that was the Comair ID. I had such a hard time with the Regional Elite Airline Services ID, nobody wanted to accept it for anything.

You're 9E right? Does your ID say Delta on it anywhere? They didn't know what Comair was, but they understood Delta Connection.

I'd love to do a meeting of some kind, but if I'm going to go it'd have to be in MSP (maaaaybe ORD/MDW or one of the airports in WI) or wait until March when I have a chance at being back in the business. Weekends preferred.

Hey, at least Spring/Fall is tolerable, along with winter if you're indoors

Oh, and one other bonus of MSP: I have a pretty comfortable car if anyone needs a ride from the airport, assuming things end up in the city area, and know the nooks and crannies around the southern suburbs (which is the side of town where the airport happens to be)

I get the urge every now and then ... In April, I went to Hawaii to buy coffee. CO cancelled a couple flights back to the mainland and all flights became oversold for the next 3 days... So I went to NRT (always travel with your passport) stayed the night in the crew hotel and flew nonstop back to MSP the next day all in biz class. I would do it more often if I had someone to go with... I work 12 hour shifts so only three days a week and my better half (the airline employee) is comuting mon-fri to ATL. Kudos to CVG2LGA this is a tough time of year to travel.... I looked yesterday 12/29 and everything was oversold by double digits!

welcome and sage advice is always appreciated
spunk is good too!

PS--you can order coffee at javacity.com using DELTAEMP for discount--you don't have to go to Hawaii to buy it, but Guatemala has some really good stuff, too (even tho I prefer Sumatra or Ethiopian..haha!)
