Read the "Jetiquette" link Spainflier posted and you'll be fine. DL is pretty relaxed these days. Women's dress sandals are definitely ok.

I still won't wear jeans, shorts, or t-shirt, even though they are supposedly allowed. I'm always worried the gate agent will say they are frayed or offensive. Not worth the hassle to me.
