Since this is the worst part of our flight benefits, I'll say it again, Delta has the best travel pass perks out there today!

So far, I haven't been tempted to club any!
Boss had 8 yr old son on trip to PUJ (first time biz class) He was under threat of something severe (not sure what--does it matter??haha) to behave properly. He was so polite and not fidgety at all. When he need to go the bathroom, instead of moving food and tray table, he made himself very skinny and slinked under the tray to get out. No disturbance, except our laughter!

We wouldn't want "first come first boarded". Suppose you just got off work, rush over to gate and somebody with no seniority and got off of work 2 hours earlier?

I get it, really I do. I suppose it's just one of those things that you know how it works when you take a position here.

That system may be good for the scammers. Imagine if on a tight flight, everyone got to the airport 2 hours before the gate opened up? What do you do in that scenario? Stand the whole time at the podium waiting for the counter person to open up? Form some line? So you gotta go to the bathroom, and you tell the other non rev pax to hold the spot for you? I wonder who makes these rules. Such different ways of thinking and doing business. Such extremes. It's a wonder how laws get passed and differ from state to state. What seems like a slam dunk fair thing is suddenly the most unfairest thing of all.

Wow. Have gate agents screwed you over in the past?

Or....imagine on a tight flight, you've been at the airport for 2 hours and Joe Schmoe walks up at departure time and bumps you because he's been at the company six months longer. Now you've waited another 2.5 hrs for the next flight only to get bumped again by someone senior. This goes on flight after flight as non-rev after non-rev keeps you on the ground. There are positives and negatives to either system.

That's the beauty of it all. If you don't like how one company does it, you don't have to work there.

I've had that happen many times. Seniority is good when you have it, bad when you don't. Aaaaand, my personal opinion is that Express people who think they are entitled to bump a mainline employee can go &*%# themselves. I've also ran into this a lot. Without mainline, the only places you could nonrev to would be Fargo to Bismarck et al.

Sometimes you don't have a choice. You can work for a company and they suddenly revamp the travel policies. Other times, a merger forces the change. I'm going to look for another job because I don't like the way they run their travel policy? I wish I could be financially independent. Like hit the jackpot in Vegas. Then I can tell everybody to get $%##$@!!

Meh, I'm not complaining (much). I think we (US) have one of the best travel policies for employees out there. Our buddy passes can be a bit pricy compared to what they used to be, but then again everything has gone up.

We pay zero (nothing) for domestic travel, 20 bucks a leg to upgrade domestically. We pay taxes to fly internationally in coach, 100 bucks to upgrade to Envoy. Parents pay a minimal charge per leg, I think 25 bucks? We're seniority based on the nonrev lists, excepting for registered guests and buddy passes. So all in all, no real complaints with our travel policies.
