Maybe Thai is an exception for extended refund--good thing the total wasn't alot. I will post when we get the $ back!

In addition to refund and FOP, which I mentioned above, the currency in which the ticket is issued is also determined by who issues the ticket (i.e., the employing vs. the transporting airline) and your carrier's relationship with that airline. Tickets are issued in the home currency of the ticketing airline (determined by that airline's HDQ location). So TG would issue all tickets in baht, IB will issue in EUR, DL in USD, etc.
