    Now I have a question. My nephew just asked about using a buddy to AMS. Any good time of the year for budding there, or forget it?

    Just do not hit summer time or New Years (embargo's). Also have BRU, CDG, LHR and FRA/MUC as backups. Higher taxes from FRA/MUC and LHR but if all else fails buy a ticket on Ryan air to get there if they are unable to get out of AMS.
