Hal...not to worry I will not be traveling on 10-18, but thank you for the info. All the advice has been bad but we are staying in Paris for the week. Anyone with ANY advice good or bad is appreciated. l

Caroljane--you did get the Delta scrubpasses (blank tickets) to leave CDG, right? They do have them available at CDG but agents can be a bit snipppy about having to fetch them for you. I have always been required to have one.
Now--IF and I say only IF (not when--I'm being positive) you get bumped from all of the Delta flights and have to take AF--you should already be in the gate area where they have a designated desk to handle the stranded. They should move your listing to AF, but that was "should". You can list on the AF website but only if you understand enough French and as for me --non, non, non. Iwould try the phone listing here but it should not matter--they do follow seniority and priority these days evn though you're going to be OAL.
Good luck--if I think about it, I'll ck your flights and cheer you on[to] a Delta flight! PS--are you taking the train into the city? taxi was $E50 to Eiffel area--train is $8 each and a fun treat! Don't do the bus--it's almost same as cab. And--where are you staying--are you going to Versailles? Great day trip.

I did not get the scub passes because I read that dependant children 21 or older can not travel on another airline. My daughter turns 22 tomorrow! So we are going to have to keep positive thoughts about no shows! Thank you for all of your help it looks pretty bad right now. And I am a S3B. Which reminds me I see another non rev is listed on Fri. (2 flights) and again sat...the same on the return trip. Should I list on multiple flights already?

don't know if you already traveled yet, but the best thing to do on DL(not sure about AF, heard you can only list in usa, doing it in france is nearly, if not, impossible) is to list for the flight you want. Just that flight. If you want to go earlier, just ask at the Ticket counter to be listed. If you don't get a seat on the flight you want, just ask the gate agent to list you for the next one.

So yea, just list for the flight thats best for you. And, as a courtesy, list as far in advance as you can. I can't stand it when I list a week in advance, and get bumped by someone with a higher priority that just shows up and lists 35 minutes before the flight.

Have a safe trip, good luck
